Why Learn Pranic Healing?

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Pranic Healing is one of the many energy healing modalities that are available throughout the modern world. It is a non-touch modality, unlike the energy healing of Reiki, which tends to have a more ‘hands-on’ technique. Instead, this method works with the inner aura and the outer aura as well as the health rays contained within the health aura. (Refer Miracles Through Pranic Healing Book – Master Choa Kok Sui)

Master Choa Kok Sui (MCKS) (1952-2007), a Filipino-Chinese spiritual teacher, was the Founder of Pranic Healing. The techniques that MCKS developed are very simple at the basic level and the great advantage is that it is simple to learn and on completion of only the basic course, a person can use the techniques to effect a change in their life, as well as in those around them.

Pranic healing uses Prana, one of the seven principles of man, to balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force and, in Theosophical teachings, is referred to as the 3rd of the Principles that makes up a person’s ‘persona’. This invisible life-force or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.

As with many deeper teachings, the secrets of Pranic Healing used, in the past, to be revealed to only a select few. Nowadays, thanks to the teachings of MCKS, anyone can practice this kind of healing. It is amazing how the knowledge of being able to deal with simple ailments can change a person’s views on how they live their life.

MCKS based His teachings on the fundamental principle that the body is a self-repairing entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Pranic Healing works on the principle that the healing process is accelerated by increasing the life force or vital energy on the affected part of the physical body.

Pranic Healing is applied to the aura, or energy body, which is the etheric double, mould or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates every person’s physical body. This etheric double/energy body absorbs the prana/life energy and distributes it throughout the physical body, to all the organs, muscles, blood etc. It works first with the energy body – as it is believed that physical ailments manifest first in the energy body before becoming symptomatic in the physical body. So, by working with the ‘energy/thought form’ that may cause the ailment – the pranic healer is working with the ’cause’ of the ailment before it becomes an ‘effect’ in your life. This healing modality is easy to do and you can easily learn to perform it on yourself and your loved ones.

Healing Hands – Learn the Difference Between Pranic Healing and Reiki Healing

Friday, December 18th, 2009

The ancient art of Healing Hands or the laying of hands on a person for healing has become very popular but many people are unsure of the difference between the two modalities of Reiki and Pranic Healing. Both systems use Life Force Energy to bring forth a healing for the recipient or patient.

Reiki was rediscovered by Mikado Usui in the 1800 and has been widely practiced all over the world, and is even today extremely popular and highly respected forms of healing hands therapy available.

The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words. The first one is Rei which means life force energy or spirit, and Ki meaning energy. The two combined translate as Life Force Energy which is the basis for natural healing.

Pranic Healing was founded by Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui and is a system of energy medicine using healing hands, which uses prana to increase the energetic body or the Aura, And in turn increasing the vital energy of the physical body. Prana is a Sanskrit word meaning life force emery.

Reiki and Pranic Healing are unique although the healing benefits and outcomes are very similar in many ways including:

1. Both modalities heal the Aura or sometimes called the energy body which results in increased physical heath

2. Negative energy and toxin build up are cleansed from the body

3. And both modalities acknowledge that the body can heal themselves, and are an open channel for self healing

Although Rieki and Pranic Healing are both excellent forms of healing hands treatments they are similar in some beliefs although the methods and techniques are different. Some include:

1. In Reiki the use of Reiki Symbols, Chanting and repeating of healing words are used to assist the healing and these are not included in the Pranic Healing Sessions.

2. In Reiki it is believed that Reiki energy is safe and one can never receive to much energy although Pranic Healing warns not to transmit excess energy to the recipient.

Both healing hands modalities are excellent and heal for the highest good of the recipient.
